On Sunday we talked about how even Jesus may not have responded well to interruptions, but those interruptions turned into a blessing.Jesus wanted to take a break from the crowds to look at His mission statement, but He kept getting interrupted by a Canaanite woman who wanted Him to heal her daughter. She referred to Jesus as "Son of David" which was not so much a praise but like saying "Mister".After dismissing her once, she was insistent and Jesus-tired of the interruptions-dismissed her a second time with an insult. She did not let that dissuade her and again asked for His help.He answered her pleas because of her faith. With her insistence and her responses to Him, Jesus' mission statement was expanded to include those of us that are Gentiles.Let's remember the lesson next time we are interrupted by our children, the phone, or even by God. --Amy Stryker
