2007 VBS
Be Bold! God is with you 
 In the Bible, God often reassured people with the words, “Don’t be afraid.”  Be Bold! God is with you tells the stories of Jeremiah, Ruth, Mary and Joseph, Peter, and Ananias, who all found themselves in fearful situations.  They all made the choice to do what God asked them to do, in spite of their fears. Be Bold! taught children that it’s okay to have fears and that they have choices in how to respond to those fears.  Fear does not need to hold us back and limit our response to God.
 Children that attended had a challenge of seeing how many visitors we could bring to VBS this year.  We were able to bring 34 people.  Maybe next you can be a visitor!  Be sure to come join us in June!
We also had an offering project for The Window's Meals on Wheels program.  We were able to raise $703 and provide about 140 meals for people!
2006 VBS
Becoming God's Peacemakers

This past summer children that attended Silverwood's VBS were able to learn how to become a peacemaker in our world today.  They had the opportunity to learn about other countries and what their customs are so they would understand them better.  They also had the opportunity to play games, do crafts, particpate in music, and many other things to learn how they can be a peacemaker in their own communities!
The offering project this VBS was to collect money for an orphanage, La Casa Grande, in Benin Africa.  The children did a great job and were able to collect over $1200!
